HITACHI to introduce its first Blu-ray camcorder

BERLIN, Germany (AVING Special Report on 'IFA 2007') -- HITACHI presented its first Blu-ray camcorder 'DZ-BD70E' during IFA 2007, which features 8cm Blu-ray disc storage.

The Blu-ray camcorder is capable of recording one hour of full HD(1920×1080) footage to Blu-Ray disc. The discs have 5 times the capacity of regular 8cm MiniDVDs and can be played in any compatible Blu-Ray player. Supporting HDMI interface, it also adopts a 5.3M CMOS sensor with an effective 2.07M for video and 4.32M for stills.
