LG présentera au moins un PDAPhone Windows Mobile 6 avant la fin de l'année en Asie.
La rumeur était persistante depuis fin 2006, mais elle est confirmée presque officiellement : LG prépare bien un ou plusieurs PDAPhones sous Windows Mobile 6 Professional. L'offre sera présentée d'abord en Asie d'ici la fin de l'année.

Cela fait plusieurs mois que des informations laissent penser que le cinquième fabricant mondial de téléphones portables prépare une gamme utilisant le nouveau système Windows Mobile 6. Dès le mois de septembre 2006, les premiers bruits ont couru et l'espoir de les voir dévoilés lors du salon 3GSM de Barcelone ne s'est pas concrétisé.


LG toujours fidèle à Windows Mobile

LG a déjà produit des terminaux sous Windows Mobile ( sous la marque Cyon ) mais ne les a jamais commercialisés en dehors de la zone Asie. Il semblerait que le nouveau modèle suivra le même chemin. Comme son rival Motorola, le fabricant coréen a choisi comme stratégie d'être présent sur la plupart des plates-formes mobiles du moment, comme Symbian et Windows Mobile. La société avait même pris une licence pour Palm OS, même si aucun appareil mobile n'a jamais atteint la phase commerciale.

La réalisation du LG Prada Phone et l'effet de mode des interfaces tactiles offrent à LG des atouts qui pourront être mis à profit dans la création de terminaux utilisant le système d'exploitation mobile de Microsoft.
