Motorola Launches Stylish and versatile range of Digital Cordless Phones

MOTOLIVN brings style home to the environmentally friendly, design conscious homeowner

Basingstoke, UK. – 21 September 2007 – Today Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) launched the MOTOLIVN range of stylish, digital cordless home-phones equipped with an extensive feature set providing a range of benefits for users, including a location-free base unit providing freedom to place the phone in the most convenient place in the home. Building on the design heritage Motorola is famous for, through its iconic mobile phones, users can now enjoy the same cutting edge technology, quality and style in the home with the MOTOLIVN range of digital cordless telephones.

The MOTOLIVN range provides ultimate flexibility in positioning the phone around the home. Where most cordless phones require the handset to be adjacent to the telephone socket, MOTOLIVN incorporates a location-free base unit, enabling the telephone handsets to be positioned anywhere in the home there is a power socket.

With the D7 and D8 MOTOLIVN range of phones, environmentally conscious home owners can now talk for hours, whilst the handset power is automatically adjusted to optimize output, depending on the distance from the base unit. The MOTOLIVN range also allows users to activate an ‘eco mode’ which uses less battery power and increases talk-time. So now you can chat for even longer, safe in the knowledge that you’re reducing your impact on the environment.

Reducing call costs with the MOTOLIVN range is possible with the D8 Skype. Simply connect the base station to your computer, download the software and you’ll be able to make free international calls to other Skype users. Consumers can also choose to switch between Skype and the standard landline mode, giving even greater flexibility.

The elegant range of MOTOLIVN phones enables both style-conscious home owners or budding interior designers to incorporate the Motorola quality and sleek good looks they love into their unique living spaces. The D7 range is available in classic silver and the D8 in timeless black or space age white colors, whilst the D8 Skype comes in white with a hint of blue. Whatever mood is desired, MOTOLIVN phones guarantee a touch of style to complement it.

The range comes complete with a series of features that allow you to completely personalize your phone experience. Depending on the model you can store up to 250 phone numbers, talk to other handsets in the home, see whose calling using the ¹Caller ID service and select from ten different polyphonic ringer melodies, allowing you to set a specific ring tone for the VIPs in your life. You can also use the SIM card reader that comes with the D8 range; it lets you transfer all your contacts from your mobile to the MOTOLIVN, whilst High-Definition Sound technology ensures your conversations are both natural and crystal clear.

With sleek style and easy to use Motorola functionality, this stunning line up of phones perfectly balances beauty with technology and with up to five handsets active at once, they can grace almost every room in the house.

The D7 and D8 range
The D7 MOTOLIVN range features a blue-backlit two-line mono display, whilst the D8 MOTOLIVN range offers consumers an illuminated 3.6cm full-color screen.
