Motorola To Give WiMAX Update in Telebriefing Live from WiMAX World USA

Motorola briefing will give the latest information on game-changing technology as it readies to be rolled out in six U.S. cities

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - 21 September 2007 - As a global innovator and leader in the development and deployment of high-speed wireless broadband technology, Motorola (NYSE:MOT) will give the latest information on the progress of its WiMAX rollouts during a telebriefing at 10 a.m. CDT, Wednesday, Sept. 26, the company announced today.

The telebriefing will feature Fred Wright, Motorola’s senior vice president, Home & Networks Mobility; Caroline Gabriel, research director, Rethink Research; Atish Gude, senior vice president, Sprint Xhom; and David Robinson, vice president, Rogers Communications.

The telebriefing will take place during WiMAX World USA, where more than 6,000 attendees from more than 125 countries will be discussing the future of fixed and mobile broadband technology Sept. 25-27 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Chicago is one of a half-dozen major U.S. cities awarded by Sprint to Motorola to deliver mobile, high-speed, wireless broadband – WiMAX – in late 2007 and early 2008.

At WiMAX World USA, Motorola will showcase its momentum in the delivery of mobile, fixed and portable WiMAX solutions during a variety of “live” demonstrations and a major keynote address by Padmasree Warrior, Motorola’s Chief Technology Officer. Motorola also will offer up newsworthy roundtables and take part in various trade panels and technical demonstrations.

In addition, Motorola will be making a variety of announcements regarding the launch of WiMAX customer premise equipment (CPE) for consumer and business use, and other important updates during the show.

Also, Motorola has been nominated for the Best of WiMAX World USA 2007 Industry Choice Award for its WiMAX CPEi 800/850 Series Desktop CPE. The winner will be chosen by delegates of the WiMAX World USA Conference and Expo, and the winner will be announced at 5:30 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, Sept. 26 on the show floor.
